On Pinterest, I follow a blog called the Ruffled Blog. They are based out of New York City. Back east has a very very different style of floral for weddings than what we do here in Utah. Over the past year, I have seen a few glimpses of the East coast style and I love it! It is unique and beautiful. Not symmetrical or put together. Very loose style with lots of different textures and pops of color though out. I like to describe it as Bohemian.
Back in April, I was able to do one of those weddings. Fortunately, This wedding was for friends. I really enjoy doing flowers for friends. Alex has a great sense of style. I had never done a wedding like hers before and when we met in our consultation, not only was I up to the challenge.... I could not wait to get started!

I hope you enjoy some of these photo's as much as I did.

Ok, Lets talk about her bouquet for a moment. I. Love. IT! Spring time flowers are my favorite and I was able to use a bunch of them. I especially love to pops of bright colors from the poppies. Alex had me tie on a few charms to her bouquet of the loved ones that had past away. I thought that this was so special! Even though they weren't there in person, they were there in spirit. These charms helped remind the bride and groom that their spirits were with them though out the day.
This chalk board was the perfect way to greet their guests. Another up and coming wedding detail is the garlands that you can drape almost anywhere to add some color.
Centerpieces for this event came together so cute! They wanted to stick with the eclectic look.
I love my little succulents in tea cups!
The cute maid of honor
