My Friend, Kelly, was planning her parents 50th wedding anniversary back in March. She wanted flowers for this event, thats where I came in. She told me a story of her parents wedding. It goes like this.
"My parents had no money for flowers at their wedding. Two days before the wedding and all the events, My dad was driving and saw a pick up truck full of daffodils, crashed on the side of the road. All the daffodils had been scattered on the ground. My dad approached the driver. He was upset and sad that he could not use/ resell the daffodils anymore. My dad called his bride and asked if she would be happy with daffodils at their wedding. She was so excited and said yes. He gathered them up and they had flowers at the wedding."
Kelly had a great idea to recreate the truck with the daffodils in the back, for the head table where her parents would be sitting. The rest of the room was filled with daffodils. here are a few pictures before I took them to the event.
It was so hard finding a truck. The only one that would fit a vase in the back was this Barbie one I found at the D.I. for $2. Score!
Corsage and Bout for mom and dad
Cake topper. They didn't have a cake at their wedding. So the kids ordered a wedding cake for the anniversary!
Centerpieces for the other tables.
Thanks to Scott Beckstead for the awesome photo session!
Have a great day! It's beautiful outside, go enjoy it!
